Sweet Resolution, a new blog in support of the Unite for Diabetes campaign, was set up and is run by Karen Siegel, a Global Public Health student, a diabetes advocate and member of the Novo Nordisk International Youth Panel.
The purpose of this site is four-fold:
- To increase awareness of diabetes as a public health priority among you, my audience.
- To serve as a platform for diabetes and chronic disease-related international news.
- To educate readers about diabetes, its importance, and to dispel common myths.
- To carefully consider the facts, weigh evidence, and identify potential solutions for reducing the burden of diabetes and chronic disease throughout the world.
Since diabetes prevention and control is a multisectoral issue, I plan to discuss topics relating to health and healthcare, economics, globalization, global corporate practices and policy-making. I hope you enjoy my posts, and I look forward to your comments on the issues I will present here.

Hi Karen,
Great job! I learnt a great deal from this website. We run a network of hospitals in Southern India, with focus on preventive medicine, and diabetes is one of our key areas of focus.
We have done a number of educational camps in schools, colleges, industries and communities to promote awareness about long term complications and who to prevent them.
Your site is a great resource for us!

Hey Karen,
I just stumbled across this page and I really think it’s great. I’ll e-mail the other youth ambassadors to inform them about it!
I think page can be used in many great ways to help others and to possibly give advice/support to other diabetics who are struggling with their condition.
I can already tell that you are passionate about your work so keep it up
Take care

Hello,
I am the webmaster of http://www.pinhole-glasses-direct.com
I was reading your blog and I see you have a very impressive way of describing things. The information you provide is very helpful. So I was wondering if you could take a look at our product pinhole glasses and write a review about and post it in your blog.
I would really be interested to know if you would be able to post the review in your blog with links to our site.

Hi,
7.9% of the United States population is suffering from a form of Diabetes. That is over 23 million people! Now, more than ever, it is important for organizations such as yourself. We here, at Disease.com (a site dedicated towards disease and their treatments), believe in the work you do and would like to coincide for the fight against diabetes. If you could, please list us as a resource or host our social book mark button, it would be much appreciated. Separately, we can make advancements, but together we can find a cure.
If you need more information please email me back with the subject line as your URL.
Thank You,
Sharon Vegoe
